holy sphere hell

what hapened to the wingcap textures

@MiguelPescado and MG12: In hindsight, I should've gone with a different arrangement for that in the first place, so I went and did so (now it's open, half-blink, full-blink and surprise instead of surprise, open, half-blink, and full-blink).

@MG12, that's because the first Peach eyes aren't for the blink animation, they're for the surprised look she gives Mario at the end of the game.

Why does mario have 3 blink frames, if peach has 4 and lakitu has 1

Most of these aren't even AI upscales, but just linear upscales with higher res alpha channels, or certain AI upscaled components over a linear upscale of another texture.

god these upscales don't look good at all

These are... surprisingly smooth, for being remastered.

ToonAlexSora007 i know right? they couldn't polish the coin switch texture? come on, Nintendo.

I've seen the blue star box texture in-game, and man, it looks like a PS1 texture, making it look half-updated.

i love how mario's eyes have so many jpeg artifacts yet the M on his hat is perfect quality
thanks nintendo
thanks nintendo

Bup is too sacred to be ruined.

bup is missing

Hm... I don't see Toad...

peach has some nice lips.

@ParappaDaRappa: Offzip to decompress, and a QuickBMS script to put RGBA DDS headers on 'em. Didn't take long to extract 'em that way, most of the time went into the organization.
But that being said, there really aren't that many updated textures in the first place. While I could've put them into a ZIP, then that means people would have to download/extract 'em just to have a look at what's updated, whereas having a sheet makes it easy to tell from a glance, and if people wanted to use 'em for their models it wouldn't take long to crop them.

@RTB how hard was it to rip these textures?
it took me a while to figure out how to decompress and import them into gimp
also i think these should be in a zip file incase someone wants to use them in a project so they dont have to crop them
just a suggestion

@Proking235: I sorta threw that in as a joke (most of the things from said "iceberg" are completely outlandish), but yeah considering they are pretty similar in appearance that I thought it actually was. I've edited the sheet to remove that note now.

Looks like someones been reading too much SM64 Iceberg. Bowser's Bomb pedestals are not Wigglers segments. They are King Bob-ombs hands.

theres actually the key and beta font in the textures for 3das
