| Jun 5, 2023 7:16 PM | Jeipoppa | Asset: N64 Choco Mountain | late reply but all the banner textures here are using non-square pixels: they're stored squished here but they're meant to be stretched out to "normal" proportions in gameplay, look at this track on http://noclip.website and you'll see what i mean this has the benefit of having more detail than a lower resolution texture with square pixels while costing half as much memory as a higher resolution texture usually this is used for road textures in games but for whatever reason Nintendo decided to use them for the banners here |
